Signs and Symptoms of Vaginal Yeast Infection

One of the commonest kinds of disease influencing women today is vaginal yeast infection, often referred to as Candidiasis. This infection is caused by yeast-like fungus called Candida Albicans. The fungus itself is found on human skin at normal levels. They sometimes prosper in dark and moist areas. They're considered profitable because they help to keep the natural balance of micro-organisms in our body. The difficulty only occurs when the fungus grows out of proportion. Usually, the abnormal growth of the fungus is caused by the death of a certain bacteria that kills Candida Albicans. This may lead to the rash growth of the fungus, so ensuing in an infection.

It is crucial to understand how to spot the early symptoms of this disease so that medical treatment can be administered right away. If left untreated, the infection may lead to permanent damage, or maybe death. Below are the things to look for in identifying vaginal yeast infections.

The commonest sign of an infection is dreadful itching on the affected area. The itching is felt in the vagina and the surrounding area as well. The itching is inconsistent but when it is felt, it can be sufficiently bad that it would be tricky for any woman to run or walk. Urinating also will be a unpleasant experience for the patient.

It is critical for the influenced person to understand where exactly she feels the pain when urinating. Does she feel it when the piss passes through the urinary tract or when it reaches the outside of the vagina? If she feels the pain outside, then she most likely has yeast infection. If she feels the discomfort when the piss passes through the urinary tract, then she has Urinary Tract Infection. This is truly vital because treatment for yeast infection and UTI are different.

The vagina and surrounding area will also show a slight red color accompanied by soreness. This could make sexual intercourse a unpleasant experience. Another key indicator of vaginal yeast infection is the presence of vaginal discharges. The discharge itself can have a distinct odor and would look like cottage cheese. Many doctors liken the odor to the hint of lager or bread. Its color will range from yellow to white and can actually be clear sometimes.

It is important to understand all of these symptoms so the infection will be treated much sooner. This will save the affected lady from experiencing pain and pain. If not treated, vaginal yeast infection can cause serious damage to the reproductive system of the affected woman.
